Located in the vibrant Bywater neighborhood of New Orleans, Pizza Delicious is a must-visit destination for lovers of authentic Italian and pizza cuisine. This charming pizza restaurant perfectly balances the rustic flavors of Italy with fresh local ingredients, creating an inviting dining experience that draws both locals and visitors alike.
Their menu is a flavorful journey through classic Italian favorites and inventive specialties. Standouts include the Pepperoni Pizza, with its perfectly crisp thin crust layered with savory marinara and a generous blanket of shredded mozzarella, delivering that quintessential pizza aroma and bite that pizza aficionados cherish. For those seeking something more elevated, the Hot Coppa Pizza offers a rich combination of sliced cured pork shoulder, sundried tomatoes, and caramelized onions that ignite the palate with each bite.
Not to be missed is the Linguine with Gulf Shrimp Scampi, a dish praised for its fresh, handmade pasta tossed in a light, herb-packed sauce that lets the plump, tender shrimp shine. The frequent menu rotation adds an exciting element to each visit, offering fresh creations like the Vodka Pie or the Vegan Arugula Pie, catering thoughtfully to varied tastes.
Complementing the pizza are vibrant, crisp salads such as the Caesar Salad, dressed with a housemade anchovy-rich dressing, and the Mediterranean-inspired Greek Salad featuring marinated feta and pickled shishito peppers. These fresh sides provide a delightful balance of textures and flavors.
The dining atmosphere mirrors the food—approachable and full of character. Visitors describe the space as laid-back with a friendly vibe, offering a cozy spot to unwind after exploring nearby French Quarter streets. Whether grabbing a quick slice or settling in for a relaxed meal, the staff’s warm, attentive service ensures guests feel right at home.
Customer reviews rave about the consistently fresh ingredients and expertly crafted pies. Mike Czosnek sums it up perfectly: “Jump’n Jesus! Pizza Delicious is a wonderful place… One of the best pizzas we’ve had in New Orleans since moving here.” Another diner, Brittany Atkinson, highlights the thin, crispy crust and quality of ingredients that make their Margherita a standout. Even those with different crust preferences appreciate the care that goes into every pizza, with Allen Wilkenson specially recommending the garlic knots alongside their marinara sauce.
For those craving authentic Italian pasta dishes, Cathy K’s return visit confirms the quality and freshness that elevate Pizza Delicious beyond just pizza. Her praise for the shrimp scampi, with perfectly cooked shrimp and delicate pasta, is a testament to the kitchen’s dedication to quality.
Whether you're seeking a slice bursting with flavor, a satisfying pasta experience, or a warm neighborhood spot to enjoy good food and company, Pizza Delicious provides a memorable, flavorful escape that embodies the spirit and taste of New Orleans’ Italian tradition.
Jump’n Jesus! Pizza Delicious is a wonderful place. Very nice staff. Great food. I tell you won’t be disappointed.! One of the best pizzas we’ve had in New Orleans since moving here.
We grabbed a takeout Margherita pizza from Pizza Delicious while exploring the Bywater, and it did not disappoint! The crust was thin and crispy with great flavor—simple but done really well. You can tell they care about quality ingredients. The dine-in area seemed popular and had a cool, laid-back vibe. Definitely a solid spot if you’re craving good pizza in a chill New Orleans neighborhood. Peanut safe but a pasta dish has pine nuts in the pesto.
Pizza was good. If you like a crispier crust. I prefer thicker crusts like the Margherita from pizza luna or deep dish pizza from Rotolos. However I Cant take off stars for dissappointment due to my own personal preferances. Pizza Delicious's ingredients were fresh, pizza was freshly made, sauce was nice. Highly recommend the garlic knots. Will be returning for garlic knots w the marinara sauce. 12% gratuity on every order.
Fun place to grab a few slices close to the French Quarter, but not in the heart of it. The Pizza was delicious and full of flavor
*updated 3/31/25: Came back after a negative experience after receiving outreach from a manager. We had a smooth experience placing our order in person. We tried the vodka pie and shrimp scampi. Menu seems to change fairly regularly which is nice. The shrimp scampi is my favorite pasta to date. Shrimp cooked nicely, not overcooked at all. Fresh handmade quality pasta with a light herb packed sauce, very “spring” appropriate. We came just before a big dinner crowd formed, but the line moves very quickly. Service is great, everyone seems to put in the extra mile. Old review: Was a huge fan of this place until a bad experience today. We ordered online. Showed up 10 min later, politely waited for help and gave my name to a female with pink braids in her hair when I walked in. Said it would be 15 min. Sat down at the table directly in front of the register. 30 min go by, she walks by us 10-20 times. I go up to ask for my order, they said “we couldn’t find you” and there was our food waiting the whole AND COLD. The pizza and pasta I paid $58 for including their 12% service charge for. Our name was never called. I sat 2 feet from the front desk
The first slice made me upset I’m not gonna lie. I picked it up and it was so thin it left half the slice on the plate. It didn’t even break. It just left it there. I wasn’t even that upset, because the pizza was delicious. It was more that I’ve eaten pizza my whole life, and never had crust so weighted down that it left half the slice behind. It’s not the sort of thing to give less stars over, but it was shocking, once again, no break, just left behind. The second slice completely redeemed the first. This is a REALLY good pizza place.
